What is the Youth
Micro-Grants Program?

Students

The Youth Micro-Grants Program is a program funded by Canada Service Corps designed to provide youth between the ages of 15 to 30 an opportunity to create and execute community projects that enhance civic engagement and sense of belonging in the community. Through this program, individuals and/or groups of youth will have a chance to receive a micro-grant of up to $2,000 to launch their innovative desired projects into the community. It is a 5-6 month long program in which youth will engage in a series of skill-building workshops designed to enhance leadership, project management, and communication skills with featured special guests to prepare youth to make an impact in their communities. Participants will work alongside and receive one-on-one mentorship and support from the Youth Project Advisor.

Grants will be awarded based on project proposals which can be submitted at any point during the 6 month program. However, in order to receive the most support and to participate in the skill-building workshops it is highly recommended for all interested candidates to submit a proposal by the first deadline by the end of November 2025.
